Rachel F. Betts is a Los Angeles Filmmaker, United States Naval Veteran, Founder of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization DTAIBAI Inc. (Don’t Talk About It Be About It), and 2-time graduate of Full Sail University where she earned both her Bachelor degree’s in Recording Arts as well as her MFA in Film Production. 

 

Rachel has written and directed several short films including her award-winning documentary film, Mr. Windy, which has been selected into over 20 film festivals, worldwide.  Mr. Windy won three awards from the Christian Online film festival in the categories for Best Director, Best Christian Film along with the Spiritual Award, for inspiring audiences.  Rachel also wrote and directed her newest film production, Trust ‘N Faith, which is currently in post-production.  She led a cast and crew of 35 in this personal film which addressed the effects of breast cancer on families.  In addition to Rachel's own catalog of films, she has worked in key roles ranging from BTS Photographer on the Emmy Nominated film, Magic Mouse, to Costume Designer on the thesis film Rubbish, to Production Designer on the thesis film Dating Material to 1st Assistant Director. on UneXpected Surprises and up to Producer on the Indie film, I Wanna Rock.

 

As a filmmaker, Rachel is most passionate about directing.  She is strong in her faith, has a big heart, a listening ear and loves to help people.  Her “fill the need” attitude is what she is most known for amongst her film community, when on film production sets.
